   From Angel Fire - Jan 22, 2006

This was written for me to read at my childhood sweetheart’s funeral, by him - his self.

                                                                                                    My Last Goodbye

 When I’ve passed and left your side, and the pain is hard to hide - Try not to shed too many tears - For with you all i enjoyed my years - If you can, let the pain fade away - Knowing my spirit is here to stay - Don't grieve too hard for me my friends - I know we'll meet again in the end - I'm now your guardian watching over you - Chasing away the fears that have you blue - So my friends please keep those smiles - I'll see you all again in a while.

                                                                          This what I wrote for him:  Shattered Dream

I used to dream of being your bride - Stood at the alter side by side - I always thought we would be forever - Going through life always together - Now my dream can never come true - Because you’re leaving for pastures new - You see now's your time to say goodbye - And in an earthy bed you'll lie - When you reach your resting place - Cast a look to my weeping face - And keep in memory the times we shared - And remember i love you and always cared - Although your gone, you in my heart - I promise from there you'll never part - But my love; be sure to wait - For me outside the pearly gates.Angel Fire

   From Jennifer who visited the Clouds April 21, 2005:

Don't think of them as gone away; Their journey has just begun; Life holds so many facets; This earth is only one; And think of them as living in the hearts of those they touched; For nothing loved is ever lost; And they were loved SO much.

      From Sal - A Friend from NY

                                                     "When I Must Leave You"
     When i must leave you for a little while. Please do not grieve and shed wild tears, and hug your sorrow to you through the years. But start out bravely with a gallant smile -- And  for my sake and in my name live on and do all things the same -- Feed not your loneliness on empty days -- But fill each waking hour in useful ways -- Reach out your hand in comfort and in cheer --  And I in turn will comfort you and hold you near -- And never - never  be afraid to die -- For I am waiting for you in the sky!  [And I am - you just have to believe]

           From Michelle who visited my site recently - Read the words to her song...Please. Her song is like a beautiful poem....

 (This song I wrote for me to remind me that the person in the mirror isn't who I want to see)

MIRROR IMAGE

      A lovely Garden oh are you and look at those mountains and oceans so blue. Seductive are the seas of joy. Look at the beauty all around us, we never notice just how good it is, there is so much beauty we never see.

      Look inside yourself, don't be so stubborn, being overweight does not condemn thee ugly. I love you for who you are through and through, please don't ever change, just be you. Look at the great mountains beyond, the beaches so full, the suntan within.

      Again and again we see life pass us by, through rose colored glasses, an eye for an eye. Why does everyone stare at me? Is it because I am fat? Perhaps even ugly? Why am I only anorexic within, why can't the mirror show me what I want to see? Sneak a peak inside my soul and look deep within, there may be beauty there, but it's only through my skin.

      Look inside yourself, don't be so stubborn, being overweight does not condemn thee ugly. I love you for who you are through and through, please don't ever change, just be you. Look at the great mountains beyond, the beaches so full, the suntan within.

      It tears me apart that no one will ever look at me and not see the ugly, fat image the mirror shows back at me. I hope and pray that someday I will be as pretty as the oceans, mountains, gardens, and seas. Can you help me, will you help me, Please just look at me, Please tell me I'm pretty and that I always will be.

      Look inside yourself, don't be so stubborn, being overweight does not condemn thee ugly. I love you for who you are through and through, please don't ever change, just be you. Look at the great mountains beyond, the beaches so full, the suntan within.

 The Unbroken Chain

 Author ~ Unknown

We little knew that day that God was going to call your name;

In life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same;

It broke our hearts to lose you. You did not go alone.

For part of us went with you, the day God called you home;

 You left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide;

And though we cannot see you, you are always at our side;

Our family chain is broken and nothing seems the same;

But as God calls us one by one the chain is linked again.

  Dear Sweet Shanda

You Are Dearly Missed By Everyone That Knew You.

This poem was given to me by dear friend's ~ Ken & Nan.

Their 2 year old  grandson~ Devlen     became an Angel ~ Sept. 8, 1999

I know the sadness your family feels.....

  Rest Assured he is at Peace

       IF I ONLY KNEW

If I knew it would be the last time that I'd see you fall asleep,

I would tuck you in more tightly and pray the Lord your soul to keep;

 If I knew it would be the last time that I would see you walk out the door,

I would give you a hug  and kiss and call you back for one more;

 If I knew it would be the last time I'd hear your voice lifted up in praise,

 I would videotape each action  and word so I could play EACH ONE back day after day;

If I knew it would be the last time, I could spare an extra minute or two,

 to stop and say that "I love you," Instead of assuming that you KNOW I do;

If I knew it would be the last time I would be there to share your day,

 well, I'm sure you'll have so many more, so I can let this one slip away;

 For surely there's always tomorrow to make up for an oversight,

 and we always get a second chance to  make everything all right.

There will always be another day to say our "I love yours"

And certainly there's  another chance to say our "Anything I can do's.

" But just in case I might be wrong, and today is all I get,

I'd like to say how much I love you and hope we never forget;

Tomorrow is not promised to anyone, young or old alike,

 And today may be the last chance you get to hold your loved ones tight.

 So, if you're waiting for tomorrow, why not do it today?

For if tomorrow never comes, you'll  surely regret the day,

That you didn't take that extra time for a smile, a hug, a kiss,

 And you were to busy to grant someone, what turned out to be their one last wish;

 So hold your loved ones close today, whisper in their ear,

Tell them how much you love them, and that you'll  always hold them dear.

Please take the time to say,

"I'm sorry" "Please Forgive Me," "Thank You" or "It's OK."

       Do I Ever miss my Daughter ~as Ken & Nan's Family miss their Grandson.

Shanda and I will always miss your physical presences

                                                                        Words to think About

Source - A Dear Friend - Nancy Heckman

People come into your life for a reason, a season, or a lifetime.
When you figure out which it is, you know exactly what to do.
When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a
need you have expressed outwardly or inwardly. They have come
to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and
support, to aid you physically, emotionally, or spiritually.

They may seem like a God send, and they are. They are there for the
reason you need them to be. Then, without any wrong doing on your
part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something
to bring the relationship to an end. Sometimes they die. Sometimes
they walk away.

Sometimes they act up or out and force you to take a
stand. What we must realize is that our need has been met, our
desire fulfilled; their work is done. The prayer you sent up has
been answered and it is now time to move on.

When people come into your life for a SEASON, it is because your
turn has come to share, grow, or learn. They may bring you an
experience of peace or make you laugh. They may teach you
something you have never done. They usually give you an
unbelievable amount of joy. Believe it! It is real! But, only
for a season.

LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons; those things
you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation.
Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person/people (anyway);
you put what you have learned to use in all other relationships
and areas of your life. It is said that love is blind but friendship is
clairvoyant.

   Thank you for being a part of my life...

    Thank You ~  for sharing those thoughts. Nancy..
